Kuala Langat JUNE 6, 2018 – Ramadan is a time for good deeds and helping out the less fortunate. While most children in Malaysia celebrate the holy month with their family and friends, let us remember and help the underprivileged children who do not have the opportunity to enjoy the blessings of Ramadan with their loved ones. In the true spirit of Ramadan, CCM Duopharma Biotech Berhad (CCM Duopharma) recently hosted 32 underprivileged children of Rumah Titian Kasih Al-Inayah, aged between six and 17, to a buka puasa session to spread the joy of the holy month.
During the special buka puasa treat which was held at Rumah Titian Kasih Al-Inayah, CCM Duopharma Chief Strategy Officer, Wan Amir-Jeffery Wan Abdul Majid led the CCM Duopharma team to break fast and mingle together with the children and the home supervisors.
“Whilst many Malaysians spend Ramadan with joy and happiness especially in the anticipation of the upcoming Hari Raya festivity, we are also mindful of the less fortunate who rarely get the chance to celebrate the holy month in such a way.
“The buka puasa treat is part of CCM Duopharma’s continuous effort to give back to the community around us especially the less fortunate during the festive season. We feel humbled and privileged to be able to spend the evening with the children and sincerely hope that our little gesture of goodwill will create a memorable and enjoyable experience for the children as they prepare for the Hari Raya celebration,” said Wan Amir-Jeffery.
Manager of Rumah Titian Kasih Al-Inayah, Norjia Kaman thanked CCM Duopharma for organising the event and taking time out of their busy schedule to celebrate Ramadan with the children. “The children here come from poor families and some of them are orphans. They hardly get the opportunity to experience a memorable moment during Ramadan.
It is wonderful to see the children beaming from ear to ear as they enjoyed the delicious buka puasa spread and
received Hari Raya goodies while mingling with the friendly CCM Duopharma team,” she said. After the buka puasa session, Wan Amir-Jeffery presented the children with duit raya and goodie bags containing Champs M with Taurine 60s, Champs C 30mg Blackcurrant 36 x 4s, dry food and toiletries. The dry food and toiletries were collected through a donation drive across CCM Duopharma’s offices in Klang, Bangi and Glenmarie. Additionally, CCM Duopharma contributed RM1,500 to the home for the upkeep of the children.
Rumah Titian Kasih Al-Inayah is managed by Norjia Kaman, fondly known as Umi by the children. The home consists of 32 children with 20 boys and 12 girls, aged between six and 17 who are orphans or come from poor backgrounds. Located in Teluk Panglima Garang in Kuala Langat District, the current house that the children occupy is a temporary shelter as the owner is looking at a bigger building to accommodate the growing household.
