CCM Duopharma organises ‘Proviton Do More Good’ campaign to drive public participation in helping the homeless
Kuala Lumpur, 18 June 2018 – Ramadan is a month of solidarity and Muslims in Malaysia take the opportunity to increase the amount of charitable acts during this period to help the less fortunate and underprivileged who may not get to experience the joy of the holy month.
This Ramadan, CCM Duopharma Biotech Berhad (CCM Duopharma) has embarked on the ‘Proviton Do More Good’ campaign to encourage the public to play an active role in contributing Proviton energy kits to the homeless, enabling them to stay healthy and energised throughout the fasting month.
The nationwide campaign was actively driven by social media and CCM Duopharma has collaborated with social media influencers, namely popular singer and actor, Tomok; well known actor, Aiman Hakim; actor and fitness enthusiast, Hafizul Kamal; Kool FM radio announcer, Haiza; and national rugby players, Muhamad Amirul Aqil bin Kamsol, Haniff Ridwan Bin Bin Mohd Taufiq, Tengku Mohd Fariz bin Tengku Roslan and Mohd Azmir Zanul Abdin to post engaging content about the initiative including a 30-second campaign video on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
The social media influencers also made special appearances at events held throughout the campaign to better engage with the public and generate impactful conversations on social media. Followers were encouraged to create awareness of the campaign by sharing the influencers’ video postings on their personal social media platforms.
CCM Duopharma pledged one Proviton energy kit which consisted of basic necessities to the homeless in the Klang Valley for every ‘share’ of the social media influencers’ postings. The influencers later voluntarily distributed the accumulated kits to the homeless on June 9 and 10, 2018 before joining them in a buka puasa session. Additionally, CCM Duopharma offered free haircuts to the homeless so that they would gain more confidence and look more
presentable in anticipation of the upcoming Hari Raya celebration. The influencers did a live social media update during the two-day event to share the special moment with their followers.
CCM Duopharma Group Managing Director, Leonard Ariff Abdul Shatar said that the ‘Proviton Do More Good’ campaign was a simple and convenient way to get the public to carry out good deeds and acts of kindness during the holy month.
“Ramadan is a time of sacrifice and hope. During this time, Muslims spend more time to be nearer to God and partake in charitable endeavours to share the blessings of the holy month with marginalised groups. It is important to always consider the less fortunate not only during Ramadan but also as part of our daily life.
“CCM Duopharma always put the needs of the people and community around us at the heart of our organisation. We feel blessed to have been able to organise the ‘Proviton Do More Good’ campaign and help the homeless in any way possible during this holy month. The campaign has garnered more than 25K views ( as off 7th June’18 for the campaign 30s teaser video) response from the public and we are thankful for their support in embracing the spirit of Ramadan and making the charity drive a success,” Leonard Ariff added.
During the ‘Proviton Do More Good’ campaign, CCM Duopharma also assigned its roving teams to conduct product sampling promotions at Ramadan bazaars and mosques nationwide by giving away Proviton blister packs and RM10 discount vouchers to the public. Besides that, CCM Duopharma also ran a radio advertising campaign on KOOL FM to complement the
