- The new name will take effect from the date of issuance of the Notice of Registration of New Name by the Companies Commission of Malaysia to the Company
Shah Alam, February 20, 2019 – CCM Duopharma Biotech Berhad (“CCM Duopharma” or “the Company”) has unveiled its new corporate identity in line with its corporate rebranding exercise. The Company is now undergoing its rebranding exercise following the demerger from its then parent company, Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad (“CCM Berhad”) in December 2017.
Speaking at a media briefing to unveil the new logo and name after CCM Duopharma’s Meeting of Members (MOM) here today, its Group Managing Director Leonard Ariff Abdul Shatar said that the Company had obtained shareholders’ approval for the change of the Company Name which is an integral part of its rebranding initiative. This rebranding initiative complements the Company’s mission to spearhead the development and offering of new and much needed medical therapies to enhance public health and extend its footprint in new markets within and beyond ASEAN.
The new logo shaped in red hexagon reflects modernity and progress as the Company envisions a higher trajectory while accomplishing greater accomplishments and sustainable growth in advancing R&D and accelerating drugs development to meet health challenges in today’s world. The Group’s logo reinforces the acronym ‘Duopharma Biotech’ with the word ‘Duopharma’ at the bottom to make it easily recognised by all the stakeholders, collaborators and consumers.
Through its new tagline: “Smarter Solutions. Healthier Life.”, CCM Duopharma emphasises its commitment to create a healthier and more productive society by exploring new frontiers in science and technology to deliver cutting-edge products and improve access to healthcare for those in need.
