CHAMPS® collaborates with the Lawn Tennis Association of Malaysia (LTAM) to unearth budding tennis champions

Kuala Lumpur, September 3, 2019– The ‘Tennis Malaysia First Serve Mini Tennis’ Carnival was in full swing at the Jalan Sultan Abdul Halim’s National Tennis Centre recently, with some 300 students, aged seven to nine, participating in the event organised by the Lawn Tennis Association of Malaysia (LTAM) and sponsored by CHAMPS®, Malaysia’s leading children health supplement brand manufactured and distributed by Duopharma Biotech Berhad, (formerly known as CCM Duopharma Biotech Berhad) (“Duopharma Biotech”).

Aimed at inculcating higher interest among the youth to take up tennis and unearthing promising talents in the hope of representing the nation in the future, the Carnival also served as an avenue for CHAMPS® to generate awareness on the importance of getting the right vitamins and minerals for healthy and active living among children.

The Carnival was part of LTAM’s First Serve Tennis Malaysia Kid’s Grand Prix 2019 and the children partook in various activities to improve their tennis skills such as hand eye coordination, toss and catch with cones, mini tennis with big balls, racquet and ball, and jackpot drill, across 15 mini courts at the venue.
Leonard Ariff Abdul Shatar, Group Managing Director of Duopharma Biotech said, “CHAMPS® is delighted to be part of this initiative to attract more children to pick up a racket and connect to the exciting world of tennis with their friends.

“The Carnival complements CHAMPS®’ goal of providing children with essential vitamins and minerals to promote their growth and overall wellbeing. Our leading brand of children’s multivitamins supports kids’ needs to excel in academics and sports, and we are pleased to be able to contribute to the development of tennis in Malaysia.

“We will be joining hands with LTAM throughout the First Serve Tennis Malaysia Kid’s Grand Prix 2019 which be held nationwide this year. We hope that our collaborative efforts will encourage more children to play tennis and nurture their skills development by providing them with access to gain the right tools to learn the sport at a young age,” he added.

The event was launched by Datuk Salahuddin Ahmad Kamal, Vice President of LTAM, and attended by Aziah Amir, Deputy Director of Pejabat Pendidikan Wilayah Persekutuan and senior managers of Duopharma Biotech Berhad.

CHAMPS® is Malaysia’s first Halal-certified children’s multivitamins and has been the “Mothers’ Choice for Champions” for more than 35 years. It is also the most preferred Vitamin C supplement amongst the children in the country.
