Working Experience and Occupation
Shamsul joined Duopharma Marketing Sdn Bhd as Senior Manager in February 2012, responsible for the OTC Marketing Department and the Events & Promotions Department. He was later promoted to General Manager in April 2017, responsible for OTC Business with Sales, Marketing, Events & Promotions and Indonesia business portfolios. Following the Group’s new business strategy, Shamsul has been appointed to helm Duopharma Consumer Healthcare Sdn. Bhd. as the Chief Executive Officer. This newly set up subsidiary is responsible for the consumer healthcare business in Malaysia and ASEAN from January 2020.
In 2011, he assumed the dual roles of Sales & Marketing Manager of Sanofi-Aventis (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, responsible for Consumer Healthcare business for both Malaysia and Singapore in transforming the business operations from “pharma-centric” approach to more “consumer-driven” approach towards achieving growth for the consumer healthcare business.
Shamsul has more than 20 years of working experience in sales and marketing of consumer healthcare as well as fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands. He has previously managed brands such as Magnolia, Sensodyne, Aquafresh, Appeton, Lactacyd and Essentiale.
